The characterization of Nb3Sn conductors for high field magnet

Description

Critical current density (Jc) and n-index of rectangular shaped Nb3Sn superconductors for high field magnets were studied. The Jc increases as the aspect ratio of the conductor decrease. The Jc and n-index depend on the manufacturing process, causing different filament shapes. The anisotropy of Jc for magnetic field direction observed, but the n-index has no dependency for field direction
