Induction pick-up of placement of electron beam centre of gravity
Description
For diagnostics of SILUND-20 electron beam induction pick-ups of placement of centre of gravity have been developed. The detector is a ferrite ring with four winding, confined into the metallic screen. The signals are fed to the electron blocks in CAMAC standard and further on, into computer, where the coordinates of center of gravity and the beam charge are calculated. The detector construction is described. The estimation of its precision is given. The results of on-line tests on the measurements of pick-up characteristics are presented: - resolution on X and Y in the circle with the radius of 3 cm is not less than 1 mm; - precision of the charge measurement amounts to 0.5%; - leading and travelling edges are not longer than 3 ns
