Distribution of 14C-labelled carbofuran in soil samples

Description

An investigation was done to determine the absorption of 14-C-carbofura in four soil samples, namely aluvial (Bekasi, Pulogadung, Bali), latosol (Gambung-West Java), and podzolik (Sukamandi). The constant of distribution of 14-C-carbofuran in soil-water system was measured after shaking the system for: 0.5, 1, 2, 4, and 24 hours. By counting the 14-C-carbofuran in water fraction, the 14-C-carbofuran absorbed by soil could be determined. The results showed that equilibrium was reached after 1 hour shaking.
