Preasymptotic effects in high-energy large-angle elastic hadron scattering

Description

The results of the investigations on preasymptotic effects in the processes of elastic π+-p and pN scattering for wide angles at high energies are presented in the review. Different approaches to the study of asymptotic angular dependences of the processes of two-particle scattering are considered. The asymptotics of the scattering amplitude for wide angles is obtained. In the framework of quasipotential Logunov-Tavkhelidze approach the study of corrections of lower orders to the main asymptotic member of scattering amplitude is carried out. It is shown that preasymptotic expressions, found for differential cross sections of scattering, permit to obtain a good quantitative description of the whole set of experimental data on π+-p, pp and pn scattering for large angles
