T-10 experiments on plasma heating and current generation on the second harmonic of electron-cyclotron resonance

Description
Gyrotron efficiency with high frequency (f=140 and 157 GHz) and specic capacity of ∼0.9 MW for one lamp is demonstrated. SHF pulse duration of 0.4s was obtained through introduction of PHF=0.45 MW capacity into plasma. It is shown that not less than 90% of capacity introduced in tokamak is absorbed in the second harmonic of ECR. The regularities of energy heating and containment in plasma are analogous to those obtained by heating in the second harmonic. No current generation in the ECR second harmonic by the SHF of PHF=0.45 MW and at the temperature of Te(O)=3.8 keV was observed
