1992: Nuclear power in the electricity generating industry of the Federal Republic of Germany

The development of the electricity generating industry in Germany in 1992, like the development of the whole economy, showed considerable differences in the old and the new federal states with East Berlin. 1992 ist the first year for which the statistical conditions exist for detailed and comprehensive reporting in the new federal states. As a consequence, primarily the development of the electricity generating industry in unified Germany can now be described. In view of the differences in economic development and the lack of synchronized grid operation, the supply situation in the two areas is covered separately. (orig.)
