Future tasks of clinical radiation physics in X-ray diagnosis

Creators

Description

Starting from the statement that at the present time too few radiation physicists are working in the field of X-ray diagnosis, possible activities are shown: 1) optimization of the technical parameters of X-ray imaging systems in connection with type specificity of the object to be represented; 2) aimed use of electronic data processing; 3) determination of radiation exposure of patients and personnel. Besides these essential physical and technical tasks the radiation physicist finds an extensive field of activity, e.g. in investment preparation, in supporting the the service from the physical point of view and in adequate training of medical personnel.
