Study on N utilization by wheat and cotton under the interplanting condition
- 1. Shandong Agricultural University, Taian (China)
Description
Using 15N tracer technique, the N utilization and distribution of interplanted wheat with cotton were studied. The results showed that the efficiency of fertilizer N used by wheat increased and a higher percentage of N absorbed was translocated into grain under the interplanting condition. On the contrary, N utilization and absorption by cotton decreased. At harvest, a higher percentage of nitrogen remained in vegetative organs
