A study was made on diffusion and redistribution of carbon in iron and its alloys during tensile deformation in epsilon=5x10-6-1.8x10-3 s-1 range of rates at 650 and 400 deg C. Change of diffusion mobility and the character of redistribution of carbon atoms in iron and iron-chromium alloy, depending on deformation rate at 650 deg and 400 deg C was established
