Research, a key for improving nuclear safety and radiation protection: a regulator viewpoint
Description
The author pointed out that research is needed for regulatory decision making and that as final users of research, regulators should make sure that their needs are accounted for in the programmes. The experience of other regulatory bodies that are involved with the definition of research programmes was mentioned, together with specific examples of safety research themes and noting the importance of having experimental facilities.
