Test study on fatigue behavior of Zr-4 in room temperature condition

Description
Zr-4 alloy is the material of nuclear fuel shell in nuclear power plant's PWR. Now people know a little about the actual fatigue behavior of homemade Zr-4. The author presents this material's room temperature general mechanical property and fatigue behavior that are tested in accordance with state standards (GB). The homemade Zr-4 alloy room temperature general mechanical property parameters and fatigue behavior parameters are obtained. The test results show that there is no cyclic hardening or cyclic softening phenomena for homemade Zr-4 alloy applied by cyclic loading in room temperature condition. The fatigue design curve is obtained by processing fatigue test results with adopting ASME Sec. III design method based on fatigue analysis. This curve may be used the fatigue design of structure which is made of homemade Zr-4 alloy
