Proton beam loss evaluation in the injection channel of SPIN synchrotron
Description
Numerical and experimental results of investigation of the 0.5 MeV proton beam transport through the SPIN superconducting synchrotron injection channel are presented for various regimes of operation. Analysis of some results of the ''warm'' and ''cold'' startups of the accelerator is given. Some modification of construction and channel parameters by choosing an optimal installation operation regime is proposed. A possibility of increasing the beam intensity at the entrance into the synchrotron ring is established by a computer simulation
