Description
Based on the bubble chamber principle, the pen bubble dosemeters are composed of a gel or a polymer in which Freon micro droplets have been dispersed. Upon neutron interaction, the droplets vaporize. The bubble counting gives the dose equivalent measurement. The first part of this report describes the principle and the main characteristics of these detectors. The use of detectors type BD 100 and BD 100 RS and the results about the perfecting of different reader devices are presented in the second part. The third part is about the calibration of these detectors with Am-Be sources as also the calibration of usual detectors: Cramal, Dineutron, rem counter, TLD600+ TLD700 and dosemeter film
