Description
Continuous self-monitoring of power plant emissions has been performed for decades. Such monitoring is performed to improve combustion and control equipment efficiency, and in response to various agency requirements. This paper traced the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) continuous emission monitoring system activities related to power plants, from its origin in the Clean Air Act through EPA Regulations to current guidelines, policies and strategies
