Electron identification using synchrotron radiation
Description
This paper reports on a synchrotron radiation detector that has begun operation in the AMY experiment. Preliminary analysis has been performed on isolated electron tracks and muon tracks. The electron signal is seen in 44% of the electron tracks with a misidentification probability of 6.2% for muons. The detector's performance is expected to improve when further work is completed to better understand the systematics of the position resolution
