Distribution of proton spectroscopic strengths in the odd-A Rb isotopes

Description

The /sup 78,80,82/Kr(3He,d) reactions have been used to measure proton spectroscopic factors for many low-lying levels in /sup 79,81,83/Rb. Summed spectroscopic strengths and the distributions of strength among states are compared to recent theoretical predictions. The spreading of strength is found to be less than predicted, especially for the 2p/sub 1/2/ and 1g/sub 9/2/ orbitals
