Spin in the deuteron problem: charge form factor asymptotics
Creators
Description
The role of the spin in the deuteron problem is discussed. The relativistic rotations of the nucleonic spins when summing up to the deuteron spin lead to the appearance of a new term in the formula for the deuteron charge form factor (DCFF). This term is absent in all standart approaches existing in the deuteron theory. It is demonstrated that this term changes essentially the asymptotic behaviour of the DCFF. The formulas fr the asymptotic behaviour of the DCFF are calculated in the relativistic and nontelativistic impulse approximations. The brief review of the various dynamical approaches to the calculation of the DCFF asymptotics is also presented
