Are our ideas about exclusive role of stabilized radicals and ions for kinetics of radiation-chemical solid-phase transformations rightful

The supposition - that not only radicals and ions formed, but other forms of accumulated energy, in particular mechanical energy of deformation, which transforming under certain conditions can occur in chemical reactions, are responsible for chemical transformations in the solid irradiated, is stated.
