Investigation of quasiexclusive neutral-meson production in pN collisions at Ep=70GeV in the deep-fragmentation region

Description
The quasiexclusive production of π0, η, and ω mesons in pN collisions via baryon exchange is studied in the deep-fragmentation region (xF≥0.9). The cross sections for these processes and the corresponding differential distributions dσ/dxF and dσ/dp2T are obtained. Owing to the appreciable values of these cross sections, the quasiexclusive processes under study seem very promising in searches for exotic mesons
