Dry-type storage facility for radioactive material

Description

Containing tubes for containing radioactive materials are bristled between a ceiling slab and a floor slab of a storage chamber, and holes are formed to the ceiling slab for inserting the radioactive materials to the containing tubes. The containing tubes and the holes are disposed in series obliquely at a predetermined angle relative to the flowing direction of cooling air flowing horizontally between bristled containing tubes. Then beam portions are formed linearly between the holes at a predetermined angle. Since the containing tubes are arranged obliquely at a predetermined angle, air can be cooled efficiently for the containing tubes disposed on the back side of the cooling air steams thereby enabling to improve storage density. In addition, a predetermined distance is kept between the holes of the ceiling slab in front-to-back and right-to-left directions, which acts as linear beams having a predetermined width to enhance the strength of the structure of the ceiling slab.
