Production of multistrange (anti-) baryons in nucleus-nucleus collisions
Description
The study of the production of multistrange baryons and antibaryons is of particular interest in the search for the deconfinement phase transition in heavy-ion collisions. After an experimental introduction I shall review the main results obtained to date in the study of the production of multistrange (anti-) baryons in nucleus-nucleus collisions and discuss their interpretation. I shall close the paper with an outlook on the future of this line of research. (author)
