The hydrochemical indication of leached liquid from rock to the palaeofluid in Sawafuqi uranium deposit

  • 1. CNNC Key Laboratory of Uranium Resources Exploration and Evaluation Technology, Beijing Research Institute of Uranium Geology, Beijing (China)

Description

Sawafuqi uranium deposit is located in Akesu of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Due to Neotectonic activity, the occurrence of Tiemiersu and other formations has been steeply tilted and even overturned. The groundwater in the confined aquifers is consequently drained away and there is no groundwater activities in the rocks over the vertical depth of 475 m. Uranium ore bodies are the leftover mainly existed in the transition zone of interlayer oxidation-reduction. Based on the water-rock interaction principle, this paper tries to obtain some basical characteristics of the palaeo fluid by studying the hydrochemical characteristics of the leached liquid from rock.
