Description
- Plasma amino-acids in pigs were studied during a week following a single lethal whole body gamma ray exposure. Very important increases of alpha aminobutyric acid, valine, isoleucine and leucin levels were observed at approximately 17 hours following gamma irradiation. Ratios of valine, isoleucine and leucin were three times as high as normal and slightly higher for alpha aminobutyric acid. They remained quite constant till the death of the animals. (authors)
Abstract (French)
La teneur plasmatique en acides amines du porc a ete suivie durant environ une semaine apres une irradiation gamma globale a dose supraletale. Une augmentation hautement significative de la concentration de l'acide alpha aminobutyrique, de la valine et de la leucine, a ete constatee a partir de la 17eme heure environ apres irradiation. Les rapports d'augmentation sont de trois pour la valine; la leucine et l'isoleucine et legerement superieurs pour l'acide alpha amino-butyrique. Ils restent a peu pres constants jusqu'a la mort de l'animal. (auteurs)Files
