Transfer ionization in collisions involving multiply charged ions at low keV energy
Description
Differential cross-sections for transfer ionization in N7+, +Ar, Xe collisions are reported. The charge state of the recoil and of the scattered particles as well as the energy gain of the projectile and its scattering angle are determined simultaneously. These detailed experimental data are compared with predictions of the classical barrier model. Good agreement is found with experiments, provided that an unscreened barrier model is used
