Decontamination of the equipment of NPP with WWER type reactors
Description
A new method of pre-repair decontamination of the primary coolant circuit of NPP with WWER type reactor is developed. The method envisages dissolution of an iron-oxide film including radionuclides with its successive treating with potassium permanganate and an etching solution of complexon (ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid) and citric acid. The results of testing the new method are given. The advantages of the new method are shown. The necessity of further studies of the decontamination method reliability is noted
