Behaviour of insoluble impurities in spent fuel storage pools and storage facility at NPP with RBMK reactor
Creators
Description
Consideration is given to results of studying chemical, phase, radionuclide and dispersed compositions of suspended impurities in water of pools and bottom sediments. Impurity deposition mass rates in the suspensions are determined. An assumption about sources of undissolved impurities is made. Near-reactor pools for storage of the 1-st unit spent fuel assemblies (BVK-1 and BVK-2) with the maximal operation time( and the pool (BV-1) for away-from-reactor spent fuel storage at the Leningrad NPP are the objects of investigation. It is established that in considered pools the purification systems does not provide effective removal of corrosion products, accumulated at pool bottoms
