Development and application of atomic collision system
- 1. Sichuan Univ., Chengdu (China). Inst. of Nuclear Science and Technology
Description
A high-resolution multi-function experimental system for studying atomic collision physics is built at the Institute of Nuclear Science and Technology of Sichuan University. The structure, function and specification of the experimental system are described. The total relative energy resolution is ±1.5 x 10-4. The overall angular resolution is ±1.5 x 10-4 rad. The beam line pressure is (266 - 933) x 10-7 Pa. The system is used to study the interaction of fast molecular ions with solid target. The experimental results are briefly discussed
