The role of radiological protection companies, as trainers of radioprotection knowledge

Description

Training, education and dissemination of knowledge in the field of radiation protection, physical, and nuclear safety, among other issues, are the main objectives of the training process, in which Radiation Protection Societies actively work. This training allows the incorporation of scientific-technological knowledge, skills and ethical values, in professional practices in the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean. The objective of the work is to highlight the important role and contribution of the Radiation Protection Societies of the region and their permanent presence in the training of professionals and technicians, involved in the use of radioactive sources and equipment radiation generators The mechanism that these Societies propose is the exchange of information, the presentation of works in national and regional meetings where they are presented results and knowledge acquired by its associates and collaborators. In turn, Societies contribute to the participation of specialists from various branches of science, in meetings scientific, allowing the exchange of knowledge and the contribution of the enormous experience of their Associates, of recognized trajectory, linked to development and technology, and also organizing national and international scientific meetings, congresses and workshops. They also also perform Spanish language translations of relevant international documents. Another aspect that has evolved is the participation and involvement of young professionals, whose increasing number of participants observed in the last regional congresses, has been strengthened by the will of Companies value the meaning of inclusion, taking human capital as a product of educational work, promoting the process of knowledge management. In conclusion it is presented and highlights the important contribution of Radiation Protection Societies in multiple disciplines and their commitment to the training, dissemination and training of occupationally exposed workers, what contributes and builds a future according to developments and new technologies, strengthening Knowledge of radiation safety and other related issues in our region.
