Changes in nuclear regulatory requirements for passive PWRs
Description
Changes in the nuclear regulatory requirements for passive PWRs are described and analyzed in this paper. 13 important changes include: the regulatory treatment of non-safety systems, safe shutdown state, station blackout rule, anticipated transients without scram, safety parameter display system, post accident sampling system, multi ruptures of steam generator tubes, hydrogen control, redefinition of operation basis earthquake, realistic source term, maximum time interval of containment C-type test, single failure of passive fluid systems and ITAAC issue.
