Positive curvature of the H/sub c2/-vs-T/sub c/ boundaries in layered superconductors

  • 1. National Aeronautics and Space Administration Lewis Research Center, Cleveland, Ohio 44135

Description

We have found what we believe to be a universal characteristic of layered superconductors: A positive curvature of the ${H}_{c2}$-versus-${T}_{c}$ boundary. The origins of the effect are believed to be associated with strong anisotropies of the Fermi surface and electronphonon interaction.
