A moderate-high temperature curing resin matrix of high-performance for wet molding
Description
A moderate-high temperature curing anhydride-epoxy resin system of high-performance for wet molding was designed in the paper, which is named HBS resin, and its property was also studied. The experiment results show that the resin matrix has a low beginning viscosity, 480 mPa·s@ 25 ℃, 120 mPa·s@45 ℃, and operate life is no less than 8 hours at 45 ℃. The tensile strength, stretch modulus and extensibility of the resin casting is 97 MPa, 3.22 GPa and 6.9% respectively, flexural strength and modulus is 137.7 MPa and 3.2 GPa respectively, its Tg is 139.5 ℃. The HBS resin matrix has good wetting and adhesion property to the fibers, and can be applied to made fiber reinforced composites by wet molding, such as RTM, wingding, etc. (authors)
