Description
A microcode sequencer controlled FASTBUS module has been designed as a powerful means of moving data in a FASTBUS system. High data throughput and versatility for varying system configurations were the main design objectives. These objectives, the basic operation and technical details of the module, and some conclusions are discussed in the paper. The Blockmover has been in use in the NA31 experiment at the CERN-SPS
