Description
In the former papers hard single or graded coatings of carbides and/or carbonitrides of Ta or Ti created on different steels by means of an indirect, two-step method have been presented. It is the aim of the present work to demonstrate the capacity of the method to create high quality, binary or ternary, single or layered carbide coatings of several refractory metals (Cr, Mo, Ti, V, and Zr) on HSS steels.
