Description
A two-day meeting on the above topic was held at Burlington House, London, also included the 1983 Hallimond Lecture of the Mineralogical Society. This lecture, which had the title 'Disposal of High Level Radioactive Wastes: A Geological Perspective', was given by Professor A.E. Ringwood of the Australian National University. There was 15 technical presentations in addition to the Hallimond Lecture, to an audience of 60-120 experts who came from 14 countries. Here a very brief report of each paper is presented. (Auth.)
