Growth and properties of LiCu2O2-NaCu2O2 crystals

Description
Up to 2x10x10 mm size Li1-xNaxCu2O2 lamellar single crystals resulted from crystallization of Li1-xNaxCu2O2 composition melts being slowly cooled in the alundum crucibles at air. Li1-xNaxCu2O2 solid solutions within LiCu2O2-NaCu2O2 system were found to be formed within the range of compositions with 0.78<x<1.0 only. The stable NaCu2O2 and LiCu2O2 phases were found to occur under 780-930 and 890-1050 deg C. One acquired data on the Moessbauer spectra and the electric conductivity of the crystals
Abstract (Russian)
В результате кристаллизации расплавов состава (1-x)Li2CO3·xNa2O2·4CuO в условиях их медленного охлаждения в алундовых тиглях на воздухе получены пластинчатые монокристаллы Li1-xNaxCu2O2 размерами до 2x10x10 мм. Установлено, что в системе LiCu2O2-NaCu2O2 твердые растворы Li1-xNaxCu2O2 образуются только в области составов с 0.78<x< 1.0. Определено, что области стабильного существования фаз NaCu2O2 и LiCu2O2 лежат соответственно при 780-930 и 890-1050 град С. Получены данные о мессбауэровских спектрах и электропроводности кристалловAdditional details
