New imaging systems for nondestructive testing with radionuclides

Description
Imaging techniques in nondestructive testing with radioactive nuclides can be considerably improved with electronic aids. Fluoroscopic methods, which are mostly applied with X-ray tubes, can be used for radiography with nuclides when the television frames are integrated by a real-time image processing system. Gammametric scanners used with computer techniques produce high-resolution projection and tomographic images (computer tomography). (orig.)

Bildgebende Verfahren in der Durchstrahlungspruefung lassen sich mit elektronischen Hilfsmitteln wesentlich verbessern. Durch Echtzeitintegration von Fernsehbildern in einer digitalen Bildverarbeitungsanlage kann die bisher auf Roentgen beschraenkte Durchleuchtungstechnik auch zur Durchstrahlungspruefung mit Radionukliden benutzt werden. Gammametrische Scanner liefern in Verbindung mit Computern hochaufloesende Projektions- und Schnittbildaufnahmen (Computertomographie). (orig.)Additional details
