Coupled channel calculations in gauge space for nucleon-pair transfer

Description

Calculation of angular distributions for nucleon-pair transfer processes in heavy-ion collisions, are presented, using a coupled channel formalism in gauge space. It is shown that, for the 18O + A Sn system, the inclusion of the Q-value effect improves significantly previous calculations using the ICDPS method. A discussion regarding the magnitude of the gauge deformation parameters obtained for several systems, is made. (author). 16 refs., 6 figs., 3 tabs
