EC proposal for a council resolution concerning a research and development programme of EURATOM in the field of uranium exploration and exploitation

The R+D programme for uranium exploitation was presented to the council on August 5th, 1977. It is to complement other measures securing the uranium supply and to open up potential uranium reserves by applying new technologies. 4.65 million u.o. are to be made available in a three-year programme (1978-1980). The programme which will amount to 9.3 million u.a., the amount to be payable by the EC estimated at 4.65 million u.a., plans 1.40 million u.a. to be spent on uranium prospecting and 3.25 million u.a. to be spent on R+D projects concerning ore processing and production.
