Description
The thirty-first annual hydrometallurgical meeting of the Metallurgical Society of CIM was held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on August 26-29, 2001. Electrometallurgy 2001 symposium was held in conjunction with the fortieth annual conference of Metallurgists (COM 2001). The proceedings aim to facilitate the communication of recent developments and needs, within and between the industrial and academic communities involved in the aqueous electrometallurgy of non-ferrous metals, particularly Cu, Ni, Zn, Pb, Co, Au and Ag. The presentations focussed on: descriptions of plant operations; pilot plant activities associated with the development of new processes; and fundamental studies describing new developments in electrometallurgy, which may include a few papers dealing with molten salt refining/electrowinning.
