Analysis of hypercharge-exchange π+p → K+Σ+ and K-p → π-Σ+ reactions and properties of strange Regge trajectories

Description

All the available data on the hypercharge-exchange processes π+p → K+Σ+ and K-p → π-Σ+ at 5-140-GeV energies and 0-2-(GeV/c)2 momentum-transfer squares have been analyzed in order to obtain information on strange Regge trajectories. Refined values of the parameters (intercepts and slopes) are obtained for the vector KV and tensor KT strange Regge trajectories. Dispersion analysis of the strange-trajectory data has been carried out for both scattering and resonance regions. The planar strange trajectory is found which has nonlinear behaviour in the interval -1 < or approx. t < or approx. 4 (GeV/c)2. This nonlinearity should be taken into account when reconstructing interquark potentials
