Electronic transitions in praseodymium under pressure
Description
The pressure-volume relation for praseodymium has been obtained from self-consistent, spin-polarised band calculations. In the relative volume range covered, i.e. from 1.0 to 0.45, two distinct features are identified: a delocalization of the 4f electrons and a depletion of the 6s band. The results are compared with similar calculations on other rare earths, and with high pressure experiments. (Auth.)
