Magnetic and electric properties of double and triple solid solutions of CuCr2Se4, CuCr2S4 and CuCr2Te4 chalcospinels
Description
The temperature dependence of electric conductivity and the Hall EMF and the dependence of magnetic moment on the magnetic field at 4.2 K have been experimentally studied for CuCrsub(2)Ssub(4-x)Sesub(x), CuCrsub(2)Sesub(4-y)Tesub(y) (y=3, 3.5, 4), CuCrsub(2)Ssub(0.25)Sesub(0.25)Tesub(3.5) and CuCrsub(2)Ssub(0.25)Sesub(0.5)Tesub(3.25) solid solutions. The first system was found to display semiconductor conductivity for the compositions with x=1 and 1.5. At the same time these compositions are ferromagnetics with the Curie points of 310 and 350 K, respectively. All the other compositions are ferromagnetics with metallic conductivity. The existence of antiferrone states in the semiconductor compositions is assumed
