Information base for waste repository design. Volume 4. Mine structural features
Description
This report discusses the mine structural features of an underground nuclear waste disposal facility which are important to repository operation, waste retrieval, and long-term waste containment. Emphasis is on repositories for high-level waste disposal in bedded salt, although much of the material is relevant to other geologic disposal mediums. The results of a numerical structural analysis of a depository in bedded salt are presented
