Heating mechanism, electron thermal conductivity and particle diffusion coefficient in high electron temperature plasma produced by high power microwave heating in the FM-1 spherator

Description

The high power microwave heating in internal ring Toroidal device FM-1 spherator is investigated from three different aspects: (1) heating mechanism, (2) electron thermal conductivity, and (3) particle diffusion coefficient. The heating mechanism is attributable to parametric heating. The observed electron thermal conductivity is slightly higher than the particle diffusion coefficient. (U.S.)
