Tunneling size effect in a thin superconducting film with normal coating
Description
An oscillating contribution has been found to tunneling density of states of laminated structure formed by a superconductor film where the minimum of one of the bands is near the Fermi leveli and a normal metal film. It is shown that hte change of the superconductor Fermi surface topology as a result of the considered band filling leads to the appearance of additional groups of oscillations in tunneling conductivity. The possibility of experimental observation of this effect is discussed
