Band structure in 131Ba, 132Ba, 133Ba observed by (12C, xn) reactions
Description
High-spin levels in Ba isotopes are observed in the reactions 122Sn, 124Sn(12C,3nγ)131Ba 133Ba and 124Sn(12C,4nγ)132Ba. They are studied by in-beam spectroscopic methods such as prompt and delayed spectra, excitation functions, γ-γ coincidences and angular distributions. Bands are found on the 11/2- isomeric state in 133Ba and on the 9/2- isomeric state in 131Ba which are in agreement with the structure of other nuclei with 77 and 75 neutrons and with prolate deformation. A negative-parity band with both even- and odd-spin members from 5- to 9- is found in 132Ba

Des niveaux de haut-spin dans des isotopes de barium ont ete observes dans les reactions 122Sn 124Sn(12C,3nγ)131Ba 133Ba et 124Sn(12C,4nγ)132Ba. Ils sont etudies par les methodes de spectroscopie en ligne suivantes: spectres gamma prompts et retardes, fonctions d'excitation; coincidences γ-γ et distributions angulaires. Les bandes trouvees sur l'etat isomerique 11/2- dans 133Ba et sur l'etat isomerique 9/2- dans 131Ba sont similaires a celles observees dans d'autres noyaux ayant 77 et 75 neutrons et s'expliquent par une forme allongee du noyau. Une bande a parite negative constituee par les niveaux a spin pair et impair allant de 5- a 9- a ete mise en evidence dans 132BaFiles
