Radiation sterilization in Israel - past, present and future

The last decade has seen a considerable effort to introduce commercial radiation sterilization into Israel. Despite a highly developed and modern medical care system, this effort has been an uphill struggle. However, with the help of detailed and frequently updated economic feasibility studies, and very close co-operation with industry and medical care authorities, considerable progress has been achieved in the last few years. Recent development and promotional efforts should result in quicker implementation of additional products and processes aimed at doubling the radiation-sterilized products volume every two or three years for another decade.
