Nuclear safety during the start-up of the Temelin nuclear power plant
Description
The Temelin nuclear power plant elaborated its own internal binding Nuclear Safety Rules based on the fundamental safety principles defined by IAEA documents. To stress the importance of nuclear and radiation safety to all employees, a document entitled 'Safety Strategy' was set up as early as in 1995. This document was updated and distributed again to all employees of the plant before commencing the Unit 1 commissioning stage in 2000. The safety strategy forms a basis for defining the fundamental tasks and objectives in the individual years. (author)
