- 1. Tsentral'nyj Nauchno-Issledovatel'skij Inst. Kurortologii i Fizioterapii, Moscow (USSR)
- 2. Staatliches Amt fuer Atomsicherheit und Strahlenschutz, Berlin (German Democratic Republic)
Description
Measurements were made of radon levels in indoor atmospheres of 19 radon spas situated in the U.S.S.R. (15), G.D.R. (2), and Bulgaria (2). In 5 cases (U.S.S.R.: 1, G.D.R.: 2, Bulgaria: 2) the levels were found to exceed the MPC-values. In the New Radon-Clinic of Pyatigorsk, the radiation exposure to staff could be essentially reduced, as compared to the old one, by means of effective ventilation and other measures. (author)
