Description

Significant results are described in assessing the importance of the various mechanisms involved in ignition of the fusion fuel in inertially confined fusion micropellets. In particular, a method has been developed that is applicable to analysis of the influence of the energy transport and deposition by fusion-born charged particles in inertially confined microsphere dynamics. In spite of some limitations, a sufficiently valid estimate has been obtained. (author)
